Corporate Social Responsibility
Recycling and Garbage:
Countryfest has onsite Garbage and Recycling bins throughout the Amphitheater, Campgrounds, and all Concourse areas. All patrons are expected to properly dispose of waste in their associated bins. Each Camper that arrives on site receives designated garbage and recycling bags for use at their camper to properly dispose of their waste.
Trash for Treats:
One of our most popular initiatives gives patrons a chance to responsibly dispose of their waste, while getting the chance to win great prizes. Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries sponsors our trash for treats incentive, allowing people to bring their waste to specified locations on site, for a chance to win prizes such as Meet & Greets, Swag and other associated items. There are three locations on site, all marked in our free events guides.
Leave the Site As You Got It:
Our Festival Staff and Volunteers work hard before, during, and after the festival to ensure the safety and cleanliness of our site. No items are expected to be left behind on campsites when leaving the festival after the event concludes. Please use the provided items in the camping bags such as Garbage Bags and Sewage/Water Flags. Leaving excessive amounts of waste, debris, or any sewage will result in a fine imposed on the patron. This also goes for the rest of the site. Do Not Leave waste around the festival grounds, especially in Porta Potties.
Non-Profit and Community Involvement:
Countryfest is proud to be a non-profit, which has invested into many community projects and events. Countryfest has supported the creation of the Countryfest Community Cinema, Credit Union Place, Vermillion Walking Trail, Dauphin Kinette Club Splash Park, Grandview Kinsmen Community Centre, and D-Town Plaza Skate Park. Along with the yearly Neil Peterson Post Secondary Scholarship honoring one graduating student attending a Canadian university enrolled in a recognized faculty of music.
On-Site Accessibility:
In recent years Countryfest has made improvements to the accessibility of the site to further ensure everyone is able to enjoy our event. By adding designated seating for people with accessibility needs, alongside hilltop parking, it allows for our event to be accessed by everyone.
Safety & Wellbeing:
During the event we have on-site 24/7 security in place to ensure the safety of all
patrons who attend. We also have on-site wristbanding for 18+ patrons wishing to consume alcohol. This measure is in place to ensure only patrons of age are consuming alcohol. We also have a first aid station located near the lower amphitheatre entrance providing care to patrons throughout the week.
